Hospice Care in Washington State

Comfort-focused care for people in the last phase of a life-limiting illness, at home or in a facility.

Hospice is a philosophy of care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life during the last phase of a serious illness. It is usually delivered wherever the person already lives — their home, an Assisted Living apartment, an Adult Family Home — and is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance when the physician certifies a prognosis of six months or less.
