Skilled Nursing in Washington State

Skilled Nursing facilities — sometimes called nursing homes — provide 24-hour medical care delivered by licensed nurses. They are the right setting for complex or chronic medical conditions, or for those recovering from an illness or surgery. They offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. With 24/7 nursing, they can provide long-term IV treatments, wound care, and other skilled services.

Skilled Nursing isn't usually long term. Many seniors stay at a skilled nursing facility for rehabilitation and then return to wherever they call home.
